T.Naiyin is a highly acclaimed professional bellydancer based in New York City and Connecticut
A lifelong dancer and lover of music, T.Naiyin is known for her ability to connect with diverse audiences at weddings, restaurants, cultural events, birthday parties (children & adults), galas, bridal showers, and corporate events in NY, CT and NJ. She also offers lectures/educational programs for colleges, universities, women’s clubs, historical societies and schools. T.Naiyin is driven to share cultural context, history, regional styling and rhythms of the dance in order to shed stereotypes and embrace cross-cultural understanding via the arts. With performance credits spanning the U.S. and Canada (from Maryland to Montreal) she is honored to share dynamic and celebratory bellydance performances with audiences all over. T.Naiyin credits her teachers, mentors and colleagues for their continued inspiration to learn and grow as a dancer.
Described as “soulful, engaging and expressive,” T.Naiyin embodies the music and pulls everyone into a shared experience.
T.Naiyin's educational programs have been presented at The New Canaan Historical Society, The Scarsdale Womens Club, The Norwalk International Cultural Exchange Festival, The Westport Library and more. She has presented lectures and taught at such colleges and Universities as: Fairfield University, Sacred Heart University, The New School University, Norwalk Community College, UCONN, etc. Drawing from her background as an educator and counselor, Tava has delivered developmentally appropriate cultural dance programs at more than 50 elementary, junior and high schools including The Mead School, Fox Run Elementary School, The Dwight School and The Wilton Montessori School.
T.Naiyin has choreographed for numerous projects ranging from figure skaters to theatrical projects such as Curtain Call’s “Shakespeare on the Green,” the NY Theatrical Bellydance Conference and more. She has performed with Andrea Beeman‘s “Dancing Rubies,” and “Sparks in the Dark,” Elena Lentini’s “Caravanserai Dance Theater” and The Dalia Carella Dance Collective.
